3 Easy Steps to Windows
Registry Recovery
All
of us have a difficult time with our computers and at times, they may
slow down to the point where they are almost useless.
Whenever this happens, many people think about spyware or perhaps a
virus that is running on their computer and they tend to overlook a
problem that is relatively common.
This is a problem that
happens with the Windows registry and if this is the culprit, you need
to go in and clean it up in order to get your computer running
efficiently again.
The problem with these errors is that very few
people are
comfortable going into this part of their computer and making
changes. To be certain, a simple mistake that is made within
the registry can render your computer inoperable. That doesn't
mean, however, that you are totally without hope if you're
having a difficult time with it. Here are
three steps to Windows registry recovery that will have your computer
up and running again, just like the day you first brought it home.
The first thing that you need to do is run a scan of the registry in
order to make sure that this is the problem that you are
dealing with. There are plenty of free scanners available on
the Internet, you just need to make sure that you choose
one which has all of the options that you need. For example,
some scanners will simply tell you what is wrong with the registry and
then offer to fix it. You want to make sure that you have the
ability to undo any fixes that it makes as well as
walking you through the entire process.
After you have scanned your registry, it is time to fix any
errors that have occurred. The registry does tend to
get clogged up from time to time with duplicate lines of code as well
as blank lines and other problems. The reason why this is the
case is because anytime you install or uninstall programs from your
computer, information is written to an erased from the
registry. It is not difficult for traces of programs to be
left in the Windows registry, long after the program itself have been
uninstalled. If you don't understand something that the
repair program is asking to have done, make sure you
do a little bit of research. More often than not, you can
just allow them to run automatically and take care of it for
you. If you like to have control of technical matters,
however, look over the list before the changes are made.
The third step takes place after the registry has been
cleaned. A good registry scan and repair program like Registry Easy
will scan your system to make sure that
everything is running smoothly.
